About us and the best crew in the world

Adventure camp in Sweden

During my active days as sportsman I spent a lot of holidays in gymnastic and riding halls.

My development in sports and the daily challenges were worth more than any time on a beach at Tenerife. But than again I always loved travelling and getting to know countries, people and cultures. You might feel just the same…
This is why I began organising training camps in Sweden where we take the spectacular nature as one great training ground. The training itself becomes a very special holiday experience!

Training camps in Germany

In order to guide you to your next season GMsports offers three training camps. The first is right after the competition season in autumn, continuing with one in January and one in spring right before competition season. This way you can get continuously advice from top trainers throughout your winter training. In the autumn camp, the Freestyler, you can try out new elements that you have seen at competitions. In the New-Year camp the focus lays on the composition of your freestyle and on the techniques of the compulsory exercises. In the Easter camp we work together on the fine-tuning of your performance.

About Gero Meyer

I have been actively participating in vaulting for over 25 years myself. Quite some time that I spent on competitions and learned from the best. During this time I was able to achieve what many athletes dream of as one can see below.

But even more important than all the medals I won, were the social contacts and the friendships I gained world wide. Vaulting asks for a great variety of mental and physical requirements, that challenged me every day. I am still thrilled and fascinated by this sport and I love the challenge! My skills and training effort was quickly noticed by foreign clubs that invited me in as trainer already at the age of 17. Since then I have been regularly active as a trainer worldwide, working with athletes of all levels. I enjoy passing on my experiences and working at the personal limits of the athletes. It doesn’t matter what level the athlete is performing at when I am arriving. I rather define success by the progress made during the training. And this progress can be done by beginners as well as by professionals,

People, however, often measure success by victories and placings at great competitions. Throughout my active career from 1984 to 2011 I achieved the following victories and placings.

World championships

  • Silver: 2000, 2002, 2006
  • 4th place: 2010

European championships

  • Gold: 1999
  • Bronze: 2001, 2005, 2009 (Pas de deux)
  • 4th place: 2007

German Championships

  • Gold: 2000
  • Silver: 2001, 2002, 2009
  • Bronze: 1998
  • 4th place: 2006, 2008
